Founded in 2018, WORX Equipment Pty Ltd was born from a vision to provide the highest level of customer service and a desire to work in partnership with clients to help them achieve their goals. WE specialise in rental of mining and civil heavy earthmoving equipment and the provision of high quality maintenance services.

SCOTT WOLFENDEN – MANAGING DIRECTOR
Scott is the founding Director of Worx Equipment. He is trade qualified as an heavy duty diesel fitter and has over 20 years’ experience in the mining industry working for a range of owner operators and large mining contracting companies in management positions ranging from planner, supervisor and superintendent through to maintenance manager and plant manager.
With his extensive experience and a passion for heavy earthmoving equipment, Scott has exacting standards and ensures quality machines and workmanship are delivered every time.
Scott leads the strategic growth and development of Worx Equipment with a strong focus on improving machine reliability and minimising downtime for clients, in turn, increasing productivity and profit.
PETER SIMPSON – CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Peter is a distinguished financial professional with a bachelor’s degree in business from Curtin University, specializing in Accounting, and is a qualified CPA. He has excelled in executive positions within large private and ASX-listed companies across diverse sectors, including engineering, construction, transport, and mining services.
With a robust finance background spanning various industries and significant experience as a CFO, Peter brings a proven track record, analytical acumen, and acute business insight to the Worx finance team, enhancing our strategic financial management capabilities.
JONOTHAN DARK – GENERAL MANAGER ASSETS
An intelligent, skilled, and driven individual, Jonothan is a dedicated and professional leader who remains composed under pressure. With over 24 years of experience as a qualified HD Fitter in workshops and on mine sites across WA and QLD, he has worked with leading equipment suppliers including Westrac and Hitachi.
Jono’s leadership spans nearly two decades, showcasing a proven track record and acute business understanding to deliver reliable assets that exceed customer expectations. His deep knowledge of CAT, Komatsu, and Hitachi machines, coupled with his roles from HD Fitter to Maintenance Manager, makes him an invaluable leader in our maintenance team.
LISA BUTTERWORTH – GENERAL MANAGER SHARED SERVICES
With extensive experience managing and leading large teams, Lisa is a highly motivated and competent manager with a strong passion for process innovation, compliance and improving resource efficiencies, ensuring all contractual and regulatory requirements are met.
Lisa is an accomplished individual adept at developing and implementing systems and processes that drive performance and optimise customer service whilst minimising expenditure and maximising profits.
Possessing a significant history working in a management role for Australia’s largest airline in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, Lisa is a calm and focussed professional who is able to handle high-stress situations and rapidly-moving operations with ease.
RAY HEGGS – GENERAL MANAGER UNDERGROUND
Ray is a highly accomplished manager with a robust trade qualification and more than twenty-five years of exemplary leadership across diverse operational domains. His extensive career includes pivotal roles such as Plant Manager, Area Manager, Operations Manager, General Manager, and business owner.
Specialising in medium to large-scale enterprises, particularly in underground mining operations, Ray has cultivated lasting relationships critical to fostering client development and enhancing our operational excellence.
JAMES CALTER – MAINTENANCE MANAGER
Possessing over two decades experience in mobile equipment maintenance across various mine sites and workshop environments, James brings extensive expertise from his involvement with OEM dealerships and rental machinery providers.
As a highly motivated, organised, and engaged professional, James excels in asset management and stands out as an accomplished leader with excellent technical knowledge of a wide range of mobile heavy earthmoving equipment.
TAHLIA SEGARAM – BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
Tahlia is a highly motivated and proficient professional renowned for her unwavering dedication to quality. With a wealth of experience in customer service and exceptional communication skills, she excels at fostering collaboration and building strong connections with colleagues and clients.
An intelligent, driven, and organised individual, Tahlia has made significant contributions to several major mining production companies in WA. One of her standout achievements includes the successful development of a mobile plant division from the ground up, assembling a top-tier team of HD and LV fitters and auto electricians.
ELIZABETH WOLFENDEN – COMMUNICATIONS AND MARKETING MANAGER
Elizabeth has been with Worx Equipment since its inception in 2018 working across all facets of the operations from accounts, HR and payroll to IT, document management and administration; playing an integral part in the growth and development of the business. Elizabeth has a Bachelor of Communications degree in Journalism and Photomedia and has previously worked in the communications sector for the WA Government, news and magazine publications as well as not for profit organisations. She also has worked within the mining sector for several years, for a major owner operator, across various roles developing a strong understanding of the mining industry.
Elizabeth is a competent and capable professional who is passionate about effective communication strategies and enjoys mentoring others to improve and develop their communication skills in order to reach their full potential.
BRENDAN SHALDERS – NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Brendan Shalders is a qualified CPA with a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Finance and over 16 years’ experience in corporate development, strategy implementation, financial reporting, transaction advisory and financial analysis and modelling services.
Brendan has acted as the Chief Financial Officer at Poseidon Nickel since 2019 and prior to that has worked in a number of senior management positions at major international consulting firms, working on projects in Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia and Europe where he was involved in due diligence processes for disposals, acquisitions and capital market transactions and provided transactional, integration and accounting advice.
